A child of the 80’s and 90’s, I thought it was my destiny to acheive a high rank in a low ranking field. One day, sitting at my desk as the VP of HR for an international hedge fund, I decided it was not. So in my late 20’s I shifted gears, took a leap of faith, quit my career and went back to school to become a teacher. Now, I am more than 20 years in the game and could not be more satisfied. No longer a cog in the wheel, but the feet on the pedals. I have dedicated my life to serving students that are often underestimated. Watching them light up through the gift of learning. Guiding them as they discover, they are worthy, they are special, and they are gifted. Some of these students have stayed the course and landed in the best colleges in the nation, others have allowed their choices to dictate their fate. Either way, they have become empowered to decide who they are for themselves.
Teaching is the ultimate puzzle. It requires immense faith in the process and the people within the process. Hedging bets, sometimes against the odds, that all human beings are gifted and worthy of sharing those gifts. This site is dedicated to all my teaching breatheren who passionately engage in the opening of minds. You are the key, the door, and the hand that turns it...Rock On and Teach Like the World Depends on it, because it DOES!
